An audit evaluates the supplier — equipment, processes, quality system, capacity and working conditions. An inspection checks a specific batch of your products. New suppliers should get an audit before the first order.
How much does a factory audit cost in China?
US$299–599 per audit, standard US$399. The price depends on factory size and scope (capability, quality system, social compliance); larger factories may need two auditor-days.
Will the supplier know about the audit?
Yes. Audits are announced and agreed with the supplier, or written into your contract as an audit right. We never use hidden cameras or false identities — that protects both your reputation and the supplier’s privacy.
